Job Description
Provide network configuration, installation, documentation and support for T-Systems North America, Inc. customers with regards to the contracted SLAs and including, but not limited to, routers, circuits, hubs, switches, IP addressing, DNS, etc. Perform network implementation project management functions for T-Systems Inc. customers with regards to new network implementations and existing network modifications
Work with the Solution Design team to create robust network solutions
Create, review and modify existing processes and procedures to improve efficiency
Document configurations of supported customer environments
Periodic on-call, after hours customer support on a weekly basis, including weekends
Regular, predictable attendance.
Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
REQUIRED-
Equipment: Routers, ethernet hubs and switches, fast-ethernet hubs and switches, token ring hubs and switches, 56K and T1 CSU/DSUs
Software: Microsoft NT Server v4.0 and Windows 2000 Server
WAN Technologies: Frame Relay,MPLS, PPP, HDLC, 56K, ISDN
LAN Technologies: Ethernet, Fast Ethernet,Gigabit Ethernet, LAN Switching, VLANs, copper and fiber cabling
Routed Protocols: TCP/IP,BGP
Bridging: Transparent
Years of Experience: 2-3
PREFERRED-
Software: HP Openview, NETQos, Spectrum
Ticketing: Remedy and Cosima based ticketing systems.
WAN Technologies: ATM, ISDN BRI and PRI, T3
Routing Protocols: EIGRP, OSPF, DLSW+,RIP,HSRP,VRRP
Bridging: Translational, Source-Route, Source-Route Translational, Source-Route Transparent
EDUCATION:
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, MIS, or equivalent work experience
Preferred: Cisco Certified Network Administrator – CCNA
