Description:

A large communication services company is looking for a Network Engineer for
their Chicago land location. This person will be part of the technical
support services team serving as a SME in this customers NOC. As one of 5
Network Engineers responsible for third level technical assistance for this
clients customers and the Cisco IP environment.

This individual will be responsible for testing, implementing and
troubleshooting network change requests. Within this team they serve as a
point of escalation for the network monitoring and performance teams. They
are tasked with troubleshooting issues, determining root cause which could
be design, implementation or unintended side affects.

Looking for candidates with 5-7 years of directly related experience.
-CCNA/CCNP certification desired but not required
-Knowledge of OSPF, BGP, security and Cisco ASA or PIX firewalls required.
-VLAN routing
-Cisco SCE
-Cisco IP Networking
-Layer 3 switching/MPLS
-CDMA or EVDO nice to haves

Monday-Friday 1st shift however will need to be flexible for rotating
maintenance windows.
