WAN Engineer
Our client is a well-established trading firm in downtown Chicago. They are adding a Senior WAN Engineer to their team on a contract - to - permanent basis.
As a member of this 12 person team, the consultant will assist in maintaining, configuring, installing, and testing network hardware and software in a primarily Cisco environment.
This position will entail a high-level of customer and vendor interaction. The consultant will take ownership of customer issues and drive them to completion. This position will require extensive VPN experience in support of the customers.
Requirements
2-4 years of Ethernet experience
3+ years of experience with Cisco Routers & Switches
FIX protocol experience is a plus
Firewall (PIX) experience is highly desired.
Excellent communication skills required!
Proven experience supporting a demanding customer base is desired.
