Cisco Firewall/Security Specialist

Job Description:

The CISCO Support Specialist will provide network support and deliver outstanding technology service to customers. You will apply your Cisco support knowledge by responding to client networking issues and problems with solid solutions. The Cisco Firewall/Securiity Support Specialist will develop consulting skills through an internal training program and professional certifications. Expand your knowledge and credentials in Cisco Secuity and Routing & Switching.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Provide Level I and II support for network security, firewalls and IP Routing,
Support firewalls and security to solve client problems, often under time pressure
You will assist in security audits, intrusion detection, network design and implementation of firewalls and security devices.
Skills and Qualifications:


Knowledge and experience with Firewall technologies, including the Cisco PIX / ASA and Internet connectivity
Any exposure to routing and switching protocols (MPLS, RIP, EIGRP, OSPF, BGP and TCP/IP)
Knowledge of VPN technologies, including Cisco VPN Concentrators
Familiar with OSI troubleshooting, including T1/T3, and Ethernet
Cisco Wireless implementation a plus
Strong knowledge of firewalls, information security and remote connectivity
Any security certifications a plus including (CCNP/CCIP/CCSP or CCNA with Cisco Firewall experience.
BS or equivalent experience in Information Technology.
Knowledge or experience of Cisco partners and system intergrator.
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
Ability to adapt work habits to a specified methodology
