Network Engineer - Chicago, IL

Network Engineer needed for long term contract in downtown Chicago
Network Engineer needed with data and VOIP skill set for large company in downtown Chicago. This is an 8 to 18 month engagement.
Qualifications needed include:
• Define and manage ongoing network operations requirements, analysis, selection, design, development, implementation, network operations testing and network operations support methodologies processes, procedures and best practices to continuously improve quality and delivery.
• Basic knowledge of IP-PBX Technologies, SIP and H.323.
• Ability to conduct and direct research into IS issues and products as required.
• Assist with resolution of network problems.
• Proven analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
• Proven ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
• Organizational skills.
• Adhere to all IS and user quality assurance practices.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills and a keen level of attention to detail.
• Cisco Administration, CCNA, CCNP certification.
• Practical familiarity with OSPF, BGP, RIP, CDP, VTP, Etherchannel, STP, 802.1Q, QoS and VLAN's.
• Extensive experience working with network security based tools and processes.
