CIsco Support Specdialist - Firewalls and Security, OakBrook Terrace, IL

Job Description:

The Cisco Support Specialist will provide network support methodology for delivering outstanding technology service and will then apply this knowledge by responding to client networking issues and requests. TheCisco Support Specialist will develop consulting skills through an internal training program and professional certifications. Duties and Responsibilities:

Provide Level I and II support for network security, firewalls and IP Routing,
Support Cisco ASA/PIX firewalls and security to solve client problems, often under time pressure
You will assist in security audits, intrusion detection, network design and implementation of firewalls and security devices.

Job Requirements

Skills and Qualifications:

Knowledge and experience with Firewall technologies, including the Cisco PIX / ASA and Internet connectivity
Any exposure to routing and switching (MPLS, RIP, EIGRP, OSPF, BGP and TCP/IP)
VPN technologies, including Cisco VPN Concentrators
Familiar with OSI troubleshooting, including T1/T3, and Ethernet
Cisco Wireless implementation a plus
Detailed knowledge of firewalls, information security and remote connectivity
Any security certifications a plus including (CCNP/CCIP/CCSP or CCNA with Cisco Firewall experience.
BS or equivalent experience in Infrormation Technology.
Knowledge or experience of Cisco partners and system intergrator.
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
Ability to adapt work habits to a specified methodology
