This position provides network support globally for all company locations. Support includes the network switches, routers and wireless devices. Additional duties include coordination with IT Shared Services to provide technical support of our wide area network and B2B connections.

•Configuration and setup of all Cisco switches and wireless equipment for the local area and wide area network.

•Monitor the status and utilization of the network to insure that circuits are appropriately sized and in working order.

•Monitoring of log files to identify any security problems on the local area network.

•Configuration and support of ASA firewalls in the company.

•Diagnose and resolve network hardware and IOS problems. Backup configurations of all network switches and ASA firewalls to insure recovery in the event of a hardware failure.

•Perform regular maintenance of network hardware, IOS, and firewalls. Insure that firmware and security patches are kept up to date. Insure network systems are secure.

•Participate in the division disaster recovery planning and testing. Insure that disaster recovery procedures are kept up to date for all network equipment.

•Administration of TACACS and Cisco ACS services.

•Coordinate security changes for B@B requested with IT Shared Services, customers and the company business.

•Work with IT Shared Services on network capacity planning.

•Support, monitoring and troubleshooting for quality of services at all Energy Systems locations.

•Identify, design, provision and specify configuration of infrastructure required for new IT projects.

•Support at the network layer of external interfaces. The interfaces include, but are not limited to rfc, rpc, pgp, ssh, telnet, ftp, smnp and smtp.

•Support the network locally at the Global Data Center in Warrenville.

•Coordinates incident response efforts for security breaches and virus attacks.

Skills
Candidate Must Have :

- Bachelors Degree in related field or equivalent work experience.

- 10 plus years work experience with a global complex network topology.

- Understanding of LAN/WAN technologies, TCP/IP protocol and Cisco switches.

- Expertise with layer 2 and layer 3 switching protocols, VLANS, trunking, CATOS, IOS and Cisco hardware.

- Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills

- Ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks.

- Expertise in the following protocals and technologies: T1/DS1, DS3, 802.2/3, 802.1b, VLANs/STP/VTP, IPv4, BGB, OSPF, HSRP/GLBP, TACACS, IPSEC, DHCP, QoS and DNS.

- Experience supporting ASA Firewalls.

- CCNA certification.

- CCNP certification.

- No travel required.
