Good afternoon! I wanted to send out an reminder about the Office of Student Financial Aid’s Information Sessions on Borrowing Money for School and a newly added session on financial aid options available for our Veterans on campus.
1) Paul Schmidt, Financial Aid Specialist at the College of DuPage, will provide us with the latest information regarding how to borrow money wisely for school and what to look out for. Remember, student loans is money you pay back!!

2) There are a lot of military programs available at College of DuPage - like the Illinois Veteran Grant, Illinois National Guard Grant, GI Bill, Post 9/11 GI Bill . . . but our Veterans may also be eligible to apply for Federal Grants, State Grants, Federal Work Study, Federal Stafford Loans and scholarships. Not quite sure how all these programs work together, or not sure how to go about applying for these programs? Brenda Marcy and Jennifer Prusko from the Financial Aid Office and Batoul Zaiter from the Records Office will be available to answer questions and talk about how you can apply for these programs.
