Our client is in need of a Telecom Technician for a 6 month contract in the greater Chicago area.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Component Integration experience

Bachelors of Electrical Engineering or similar field

Working level knowledge and experience in IP configuration

TCP/IP experience

Serial Connection


VLAN experience

OSI Layer experience (all three layers)

Motorola experience

tree topology experience

CCNA desired

Experience troubleshooting microwave backhaul network systems issues

Experience working at communication sites/towers to validate dish alignment, installation quality, and support optimization is a must

Solid understanding and hands-on experience with microwave performance instrumentation and analysis tools

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills

Candidates should be capable of climbing ladders/stairs while carrying test equipment

Valid, clean, driver"s license required


JOB DESCRIPTION:

Working as part of the Client"s technical team, these candidates will be responsible for multiple aspects of installation and commissioning support, troubleshooting, and optimization.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Conduct field work, including path surveys, installation and commissioning support, troubleshooting, and optimization.

Assist in the commissioning and optimization process as equipment is deployed and brought into service

Help test and troubleshoot microwave backhaul network systems issues.
